Welcome to "King of the Strip".

King of the Strip will take place May 11-12 2012 at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, TX. This race will feature Pro Mod, Fuel Altered, 10.5, Nostalgia Funny Car, Top Fuel Harley, Pro Mod Motorcycle along with Electric/Non Electric Car and Bike Classes. Royal Purple raceway being the fastest Drag Strip around will be the host. With a Friday night test and tune session allowing for getting a grip on your tuneup before qualifying starts on Saturday morning.

Along with all of the Drag Racing going on there will be a car and bike show featuring some of the best in Custom, Stock and everything in between for both cars, trucks and bikes. Check out the link to the Car/Bike/Truck Show for more info.

Nostalgia Funny Cars added to the show. Always an exciting throw back to the golden days of Funny Cars this class will have some great races. With a 16 car field an a purse to match any other race in the nation this will be a highlight of the day's...

Pro Mod Motorcycles

With no minimum weight or maximum displacement these two wheeled machines explode down the strip. With the added power from nitrous oxide it's definitely a show to see. These bikes run low 4.0s at over 170 mph in the 1/8 mile.
